The Colleton County School Board of Trustees announced the three finalists for the Colleton County School Superintendent position on Friday, May 21.
The finalists are Dr. Vallerie Cave, Dr. Eric Thomas, and Dr. Lana Williams. Photographs, candidate biographies and resumes have been placed on the right side of this webpage.
A community forum will be held with superintendent finalists on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 7 p.m. in the Colleton County High School Gymnasium (150 Cougar Drive, Walterboro, SC).
The public will be able to attend the forum in-person. In accordance with Centers for Disease Control and South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control COVID-19 prevention measures, those attending the forum must wear a mask at all times, have their temperature checked upon entry to gym, and practice social distancing. A maximum of 300 seats will be available for attendees. The community forum will be filmed, and the video recording will be uploaded to the Colleton County School District Youtube Channel.
If you would like to submit a question to be asked of the candidates, please do so by completing this online survey. Due to time constraints, questions may be combined and all questions may not be asked. Each candidate will be asked the same questions to ensure there is consistency between the finalists. The deadline to provide a suggested question is 12:00 p.m. ET on Monday, May 24, 2021. Submitted questions will be presented by Forum Moderator Jennifer Bunton, CCSD 2020 Teacher of the Year.
